When a family in Chazy, New York, wanted to fix their sagging, unsafe floors and control the smell coming from their nasty crawlspace they hired Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems.
Looking to seal up the walls and lay a new concrete floor in their garage, a homeowner in Warren, Vermont, called Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems. Northern Basement Systems poured a new slab, wrapped all of the garage walls with a Clean Space System, and then sprayed the joists with closed-cell polyurethane insulation.
Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems came to the rescue for an elderly couple in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, when her cracked and bowing basement wall was deemed unsafe by a structural engineer. Northern Basement Systems installed a PowerBrace System to ensure the wall was properly supported and safe for the owner.
A customer in Essex, Vermont contacted Matt Clark's Northern Basemnet Systems looking for a way to stabilize their bowing walls. With many options availble, the customer decided to go with The CarbonArmor System. The CarbonArmor System permanently stabilizes your home's foundation walls. CarbonArmor uses fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) which are 10-times stronger than steel, yet flexible enough to contour tightly against your basement wall. The ArmorLock brackets bind and secure the CarbonArmor straps to your floor joists making the CarbonArmor solution fast, non-invasive and ideal for quickly stabilizing bowing and leaning walls.
Tom of Essex, Vermont contacted Matt Clark and his team at Nothern Basement System, after noticing the worsening condition of his basement wall. We provided Tom with a FREE ESTIMATE to inspect his foundation, both inside and outside to establish the source of his bowing foundation wall and then further develop a plan to resolve his concerns.
Our system design specialist proposed to install a PowerBrace System to stabilize the foundation wall and prevent further bowing and cracking and our team did just that! This system can also have the potential to straighten the foundation wall over time.
This PowerBrace System consisted of 5 steel I-beam secured to the floor joists above, using steel brackets. This system installation is interior with no exterior excavation, making for a quick and minimally invasive installation.
This PowerBrace System provided Tom with a stronger and safer foundation to support his home for years to come! Over time through yearly maintenance and system tightening, we hope to return this wall to its original upright position.
