SmartJacks, CleanSpace, and a new Slab in Killington, Vermont
Challenge
A homeowner in Killington, Vermont was tired of dealing with sagging, possibly unsafe floors, along with water in their basement and crawlspace. They contacted Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems at 855-DRY-TIME, to setup a FREE ESTIMATE.
Solution
Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems went to work right away. First they had to remove all the hot air duct work and debris in the crawlspace. Inside the crawlspace four adjustable SmartJacks with engineered stone footings were installed to permanently support two carrying beams. After the SmartJacks the CleanSpace Encapsulation System was installed. To finish off the crawlspace spray polyutherane closed cell foam was sprayed to provide insulation.
After the crawlspace, the team needed to install seven SmartJack XTs. These will replace the loly columns and provide permanent support to the above floor joist system and take care of the sagging floors.
The next part of the job was to put up the CleanSpace Wall System. This will collect any water from the walls and put it in the newly installed WaterGuard System. The WaterGuard will then direct the water to the new SuperSump Pump. The SuperSump Pump will then discharge the water out of the basement down a discharge line away from the home.
The finale part of this job was to pour a new slab for the homeowner. Although Matt's team did have to suspend the existing stairs and oil tank to pour the slab, it was no problem for the pros at Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems.
