GeoLock Achor System in West Lebanon, New Hampshire
Challenge
The foundation wall of a home in West Lebanon, New Hampshire had a major bow in the upper part of it. The homeowners were very nervous about the stability of their foundation wall and knew it wasn't going to be a fix it yourself type of job. They initially thought the whole wall would need to be replaced, resulting in a very expensive and long fix. The homeowners decided to look around, to see if there was any other options to stabilize the wall. They came across Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems and saw that they offered a number of different ways to stabilize bowing foundation walls. A call was made to 855-DRY-TIME and an appointment was set up for one of Matt's System Design Specialist to do a FREE ESTIMATE.
Solution
The homeowners really liked the proposal, to permanently stabilize their foundation wall, from Matt Clark's System Design Specialist. They will save a bunch of money, compared to replacing the foundation wall, and over time the wall has the potential to even be straighten. What Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems did to fix the foundation wall was install a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System. The Geo-Lock installation begins by embedding earth anchors deep into the soil far away from the foundation wall. Then, the earth anchors are connected to the wall plates on the inside of the wall with threaded steel rods. The technician then tightened the wall anchor to permanently stabilize the wall. The homeowners are now safe and secure with their Geo-Lock in place. Overtime a technician can come out to the home, during dry season, and tighten the wall anchors. This will help straighten the wall over time.
