Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Foundation Cracks Leaking in Barton, Vermont
David of Barton, Vermont had cracks in his foundation for years but he never got any water, until the area around his home was logged and the runoff made its way into his basement. He heard us on the radio, and decided that battling the water for 6 years was too long and he wanted to find a solution! David knew that at some point he'd also want to sell his home, and by fixing the basement he could increase the home's value.
We installed a long-lasting system that will help to keep David's basement dry for years to come!
The installation team installed a full-perimeter WaterGuard Drainage System to collect water before it enters the basement. In addition to the drainage system, they installed a TrenchDrain in front of the bulkhead door to catch any water that travels down the stairs. The water was entering through several cracks in the wall, so the best way to address this issue long term, is to cover all the walls with a CleanSpace Wall System that will lock out any water and prevent it from entering the basement. Lastly, our team installed our most reliable pump system, the Triple Safe Sump Pump. This pump is composed of 3 pumps, the primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery back-up pump to protect the basement from power outages, tripped circuit, unplugged pump, or dual pump failure.
This system brought peace of mind to David and increased the value of his home! Don't wait to fix your basement or crawl space! Call Matt Clark's Northern Basement System at 855-DRY-TIME to find the best solution for you and your home!

Before: Bulkhead Door
Bulkhead doors can be vulnerable to water entry through the stairway.
Before: Fuel tank
Before the fuel tank was closed in with walls, but the continuous water caused damage to the walls, so they were removed to gain access to the perimeter of the foundation.
After: Bulkhead Door
To protect the basement from flooding through the bulkhead entry, we installed a TrenchDrain that would collect the water.
After: TripleSafe Sump Pump
