Challenge

A couple just moved into a home 6 months ago and as the temperatures warmed and the ground began to thaw, they began to notice some water seepage at the wall and floor joint in the garage. They were concerned about the water worsening over time and causing damage to their belongings. They were searching online for a solution to their water problems and found Matt Clark's Northern Basement Sytems. Solution

Our system design specialist suggested a partial WaterGuard Drainage System and a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier Wall System along the walls where water was entering. These systems will lockout and collect the water. In addition to the drainage system, he suggested our most reliable pump, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. This pump system is composed of a primary pump, a secondary pump, and an UltraSump battery back-up pump to protect against power outages, pump failure or tripped circuit. In addition to 3 pump systems, this pump also includes a WaterWatch Alarm that will sound if the water ever rises beyond the point at which the pumps should have kicked on. This system was then completed with a pump discharge line, an IceGuard to protect against a frozen discharge line and LawnScape Outlet to disperse the water across the lawn.

During: The concrete perimeter was jackhammered, stone and product installed. This system will be complete with more stone and poured concrete to conceal the system.

After: WaterGuard Drainage and CleanSpace Wall System installed to lockout and collect water. Additionally, the white CleanSpace Wall System brightens the garage.
