Leaky Cinder Block Basement in Essex, Vermont
Challenge
Craig in Essex, Vermont has a cinder block basement that leaks in several spots during rainstorms and spring months as the snow melts. He attempted to stop the flooding from the outside, which worked at first but then water started entering new areas. He began researching interior basement waterproofing solutions but wanted a professional opinion on what is best for him and his basement. Northern Basement Systems provided a FREE ESTIMATE and written project proposal.
Solution
Once Craig approved the project proposal we scheduled our team of installation specialists to install the solution! The specialists installed a full perimeter WaterGuard Drainage System to collect water around the foundation. They also installed a full perimeter CleanSpace Wall System to stop the water entering through the cinderblock walls. To pump out the water that's caught by the WaterGuard System, they installed a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, composed of a primary pump, a battery back-up pump to protect the basement from power outages, a tripped circuit, and pump failure and a WaterWatch Alarm that will sound if the water rises above the point at which the pumps should have turned on. This pump system also included a water discharge line with an IceGuard and a LawnScape Outlet. Lastly, the installation specialists installed a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to reduce humidity.
With these systems are in place, the basement will remain dry year-round! If you want a dry basement, then give the professionals at Northern Basement Systems a call today for your FREE ESTIMATE!
