WDEV-Radio Building Has WaterGuard Drainage Installed in Waterbury, VT
Challenge
The basement of the owners building had some major issues. There was constant water coming in, making it very humid and wet. This led to major mold problems, which made it a non-ideal area to store anything. Also, because of the wet basement, the support beams were rusting out. Looking to take back control of their basement and make it a usable space, the owners contacted Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems. 1-855-DRY-TIME
Solution
After an inspection from one of Matt's experienced System Design Specialists, Brian Kiniry, the decision was made to install a variety of products. The first step was to install the WaterGuard Drainage System-it includes wall flange with 3/8" opening to collect water from the walls and will not clog with mud because it sits on top of the footing, away from the "mud zone" underneath the floor. Second, a TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. The System is equipped with three separate pumps, one primary, one secondary, and one battery back up. This gives the owners extreme confidence that their basement will remain free of flooding. Next, the crew put in a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Our SaniDry Sedona is the world's most efficient, high-performance dehumidifier and filtration system, without a bulky heat exchange core. It filters mold spores, dust mite droppings, and other particles making the air very clean to breathe. To fix the rusted out support beams the team took out the existing beams and installed our cast iron Smart Jacks.
