Basement Waterproofing in Barnet, Vermont, by Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems.
Challenge
A homeowner in Barnet, Vermont, had been dealing with persistent water seepage in their basement, particularly during the spring thaw and heavy rains. The water infiltrated the foundation walls, creating damp conditions that threatened to damage stored items and create an unhealthy environment. Concerned about mold growth and potential structural issues, the homeowner contacted Matt Clark’s Northern Basement Systems for a reliable waterproofing solution.
Solution
After evaluating the situation, the Northern Basement Systems team designed a custom waterproofing solution using two key components: the WaterGuard® Perimeter Drainage System and the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System.
-
WaterGuard® Perimeter Drainage System
To address the water seepage, the team installed the WaterGuard® system along the perimeter of the basement. This drainage system is designed to capture water seeping through the foundation walls and direct it to a sump pump for removal. WaterGuard® is precisely engineered to sit above the foundation footing, preventing clogs from dirt or debris and ensuring efficient water removal and long-term durability. -
TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System
To handle the water once it entered the drainage system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System was installed. This pump system includes three levels of protection: a primary pump, a secondary pump for extra capacity, and a battery backup pump in case of power failure. This gives the homeowner peace of mind, knowing that the system will operate under any condition, even during power outages or heavy rain events.
The homeowner no longer has to worry about water damage, and the basement has been transformed into a dry, usable space. The system provided a reliable and long-lasting solution, giving the homeowner confidence that their basement would remain dry for years.
