New Homeowner Battles Water Leaks in Woodstock, Vermont

Challenge

Andy just purchased a 1964 home in Woodstock, Vermont, and had serious concerns about the water in the basement. He was searching for a solution to prevent the water from leaking in when he found Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems. One of our skilled system design specialists visited the home and provided Andy with a FREE ESTIMATE and proposal to address his concerns regarding water entering during the spring months and heavy rainfall. Once he approved the project, we got him scheduled with our installation specialist team.

Solution

Our installation specialists began by jackhammering the perimeter of the basement to install the WaterGuard Drainage System and two SuperSump Plus Premier Pump Systems. The SuperSump Pump is composed of a primary pump that is capable of pumping out thousands of gallons of water, an UltraSump Battery Back-Up pump to protect the basement from pump failures, power outages, or a tripped circuit, and a WaterWatch Alarm that sounds if the water ever rises beyond a point at which the pumps should have turned on. Our team installed a water discharge line with an IceGuard to protect against a frozen discharging and a LawnScape outlet to disperse the water on the lawn. Lastly, the specialist installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to reduce moisture levels, lower risk for mold, and keep the home safe.

The WaterGuard will capture the water, and the pumps will work together to pump the water out before it enters the basement, protecting this new homeowner and his cellar, year-round!
