Water Seeping Into Basement in Wolcott, Vermont

Challenge

This Wolcott, Vermont homeowner was experiencing flooding in her basement from water seeping through the foundation at the base of the wall. The water was damaging her belongings and trying to dry the water using a wet vacuum became very frustrating, so she called Northern Basement Systems to find a solution that would last!

Solution

We provided the homeowner with a FREE ESTIMATE and project proposal. Once the homeowner approved the proposal, we got the project scheduled, and our team of installation specialists visited the home to get the project underway!

They began by jackhammering perimeter of the basement and location of the sump pump to build a trench for the drainage and a pit for the sump pump. Next, they placed a layer of clean stone, the WaterGuard drainage system on top, and then backfilled with more clean stone. They placed the TripleSafe Sump Pump and backfilled the clean stone around it. To finish the pump and drainage system and give it a clean and finished look, they mixed concrete and spread it over the drainage and around the pump. Once the pump and drainage are complete, the team installed and buried the discharge line with an IceGuard to protect from frozen a discharge line and a LawnScape outlet that blends in with the grass and is lawn mower safe.
