Basement Water Entry in Montpelier, Vermont
Challenge
A home in Montpelier, Vermont had a bulkhead entrance to the basement. Every time it rained or, during the spring time, the melting snow, would enter the familys basement. The water would run right down the stairs and get under the door way. It would lead to hours of clean up and water damage.
Solution
Looking for a permanent way to keep the water out and the basement dry the homeowners called Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems. Matt sent out one of his System Design Specialist right away to access the situation. After the free estimate the homeowners went forward with a plan to take care of all their basement troubles. Matt's team of expert installers put in a TrenchDrain grated drain, at the basement entrance. The TrenchDrain consists of a drainage channel with a removable, flush-fitting grated cover. Both parts are made from heavy-duty reinforced plastic, making it so you will never need to worry about breakage, corrosion, moisture damage or maintenance. The TrenchDrain in then attached to a WaterGuard line. The WaterGuard will take any water the TrenchDrain takes in and directs it to the newly installed SuperSump Pump. The SuperSump Pump is equipped with powerful, top-quality Zoeller sump pump, capable of pumping up to 2,280 gallons per hour. The SuperSump Pump will then pump out any water to a discharge line away from the house.
